Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, about 8,500 Ukrainian children were left without parental care, more than 1,500 children have become orphans and tens of thousands were displaced because of the fighting. Subsequently, orphanages and children's homes in Ukraine are now under immense pressure, exhausted resources and limited access to quality medical care.

The Little Hearts project by FRIDA takes under its care orphanages and children’s homes throughout Ukraine. Multi-profiled teams of volunteer doctors arrive to examine and determine the children's needs for medications, vaccinations, rehabilitation and procedures.

Additionally, partnership with OHMATDYT National Children's Hospital and several state children's hospitals ensures hospitalization for children, free of charge.
